We have had our first season!
11 February 2009
Here at De Hoop Collection we are proud to say that we’ve had our first successful busy season over the Christmas holidays since we got involved on the 1st September 2008. During this festive time our average occupancy was 80% and we definitely learned a lot!
With the help of our visitors we are now able to fine-tune our services and hone in on the specific needs of our guests, like changing the menu slightly in the Fig Tree Restaurant, launching a new activities program shortly and ensuring that your De Hoop experience is one that is remembered for life!
Why not make use of the special running for February and March and come and visit us for three nights, but only pay for two, and get breakfast included on top of that!
This is the time to make use of the opportunity to come and experience the tranquility of De Hoop - a world heritage site for its fynbos, and boasting many endangered species like the Cape Mountain Zebra, Bontebok, Great White Sharks and a more.
Bring a book and relax when you’re not braaing under the starry skies or walking along the vlei. A growing favourite is to order a picnic basket full of great treats to enjoy on the white dunes while watching the sun go down. We’ll even put a bottle of bubbly or wine into the basket if you wish - just bring you picnic blanket and camera to capture a lifetime moment forever!
And the best about it all… is the fact that whilst you’re enjoying yourself, you’re actually helping the local community as all our staff, produce and goods are sourced locally. By providing training to these young people, giving them the opportunity to serve you, they are able to become sustainable employees for the country.
Our employee of the month program acknowledges those individuals who excel in their departments and ensures a good spirit among all of our staff.
